Demand for the Construction of a Memorial for Tigress Machhli in Ranthambore
Who is unaware of the world-famous Tigress Machli of Ranthambore? Tigress Machli who made the Ranthambore National Park world renowned because of her excellent talents and unique hunting styles. A recent memorandum was submitted to the forest minister, Sanjay Sharma for building a memorial for the world-famous Tigress Machli or T-16 of Ranthambore National Park. The request was made by the secretary of Pathik Lok seva Summit, Mukesh Seet during the environmental protection program. Many petitions, memorandums, and requests were also made earlier to the government for building the memorial for the world-renowned Tigress Machli, yet no action was in order. Though the recent request for making the memorial will get attention soon as assured by Forest Minister, Sanjay Sharma.
About Tigress Machli
The most famous tiger in the world, among many others, was the tigress Machli of Ranthambore National Park. Tigress Machli was also given the titles of ‘Lady of the Lake’ and ‘Crocodile Killer’. She passed away at the age of 20 on 18th August 2016, however, she left behind a lot of stories from her early years. Numerous nature documentaries, films, and television series have been influenced by her extraordinary bravery and resilience. She also earned the reward of ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ due to her contribution towards forest conservation and wildlife tourism. Tigress Machli in Ranthambore National Park brings back memories of earlier times.
