Tigress Sidhhi Spotted with Newborn Cubs Weeks Before Ranthambore’s Tourist Season

On Monday, 9th September, Ranthambore National Park received the news that added to the excitement of the upcoming tourism season in the park. Tigress Siddhi was seen roaming with her newly born litter of three cubs in the northern Kundera Range.

The Minister of Forest, Environment and Climate Change, Sanjay Sharma, shared the news and its pictured proof on his social media account on Monday. The shared image was captured by the trap camera installed by the forest department in the Kundera Range of Ranthambore.

The mother tigress, Siddhi, is the queen of one of the most beautiful regions of the Ranthambore National Park, Zone 3 and 4. Ranthambore has been one of the best Tiger Reserves to witness the endemic big cats, the Royal Bengal tigers, of India. The park also plays an important role in Tiger conservation, by implementing and reviewing various conservation schemes every year.

Tigress Siddhi (T-125) is from the lineage of the legendary Tigress Machchli (T-16), who reigned in these jungles around the year 1996. She is the daughter of Arrowhead (T-84) and the sister of the infamous tigress, Riddhi (T-124). The fighting stories between Riddhi and Siddhi have attracted tourists for years in the Ranthambore National Park.

The Forest Authority of Ranthambore believes that this litter of Siddhi was born in the Anatpura region of the forest's zone 5. And this news was the reason for instant happiness among wildlife lovers. Soon Ranthambore National Park will open its gates for the 2024-25 wildlife tourism season, and wildlife lovers will be savouring the joy of Jungle Safaris firsthand.
